I just left the Pike Historic Preservation Society annual sustainable dinner at the restored Whiskey Bonding Barn near Molena and noticed this beautiful full moon. Many people from Atlanta will visit and comment on at least two things when they go out at night here in Pike. One, it is quiet. Two, it is DARK! And, three (sorry, I remembered another one.), they never knew there were so many STARS out. You know, our dark nights are a thing to be treasured- just ask any of the old-timers in Atlanta about it. Once you lose that ability to see the stars at night, you will never get it back.
